The natural wonders are beautiful in this edition but I'm still waiting for the flora or fauna that will top the Arabian Nights building in Fuji City. That was special. 😉

What are some of the best hiking trails from which to view Mt. Fuji?

Actually, I've never hiked anywhere with great views of Mount Fuji yet. I live in Kobe, which makes visits to the Mount Fuji area a little difficult. I have hiked on the Izu Peninsula, which has good views across to Mount Fuji in winter, but they're kind of spoiled by the factory chimneys of Fuji City. I've also hiked up Mount Takao, but it's too far for good views of Mount Fuji. I think the views from Hakone would be good in winter, but I was there in the middle of the summer humidity, when I couldn't see Mount Fuji at all.

From the Hiking, Climbing and Camping in Japan Facebook group, Kitadake, Arakurayama Summit behind Chureito Pagoda and Shosenkyo Gorge route offer great views of Mount Fuji.
